GigaSpace to Integrate with Arbitrum
We’re extremely pleased to announce our integration with Arbitrum, the next-generation Layer2 technologies for Ethereum dApp development, and welcome their community to our metaverse.
Web3 is now heading to a path of supporting multichain, and GigaSpace is ready to embrace the trend. As a metaverse, we believe that it is crucial for us to integrate more blockchains in order to facilitate our ecosystem growth.
Arbitrum Will Play an Important Role in GigaSpace
Arbitrum is an optimistic rollup with great compatibility and scalability. It is designed and engineered to minimize the L1 gas footprint of the system, minimizing per-transaction cost.
As metaverses involve hundreds and thousands of transactions (or interactions) daily, the Ethereum blockchain alone will not be able to cater the needs as its transaction speed and costs will become highly unaffordable to most people.
By adopting a Layer 2 solution like Arbitrum, we ensure that GigaSpace can deliver a much more satisfying user experience:
Storing Frequently Traded Assets
Other than SPACELANDs, there are assets like scenes, buildings, furniture, vehicles, and accessories that will be frequently transacted or transferred in the virtual world of GigaSpace. These items will be processed on Arbitrum.
Soulbound Items
As mentioned earlier in our previous article, Soulbound Tokens (SBTs) will be largely used in our ecosystem. Users will be completing tasks to receive the untradeable items on Arbitrum.
Achievement System
Same as the above. Our achievement system will also integrate with Arbitrum, since we anticipate many projects in our ecosystem will use the system as well and we want to make it as efficient as possible.
